YEARS AT TCN: 1982 - 1990

SINCE
TCN:
I left Sterling Christian in 1997 to become the Young Adult Librarian
at the Sterling Public Library. I felt the Lord had closed one door and
had opened another. In 1996 I was diagnosed with breast
cancer. Following a lumpectomy I had chemo and radiation, and today I
am a cancer survivor. Praise the Lord for his faithfulness. I
am the grandmother of 4 wonderful grandchildren. Cory and
Lori have Dalen (8) and Clair (5) and Shannon and Anna have Sigourney
(3) and Graham (1). Life is good.
MEMORIES OF TCN:
Lots of memories...Mr. Parsons when he used that principal voice, Dr.
Hatton turning off lights, even when Mary Payne was using the sweeper,
the Resource Room white gerbil that you kids used colored markers to
decorate his fur, Haun Porter and company hanging Nicky Straw from the
basketball rim by his belt loops, ACE and Pudge, green and red pens,
guys who had crushes on Polly Skates, basketball games at the Armory,
trips to the state basketball tournament, Christmas programs, board
games at lunch, English muffin pizzas, special chapels, prayer and
pledges in the morning and a school family who cared for one
another. One special memory is the benefit breakfast done on
Tom's behalf when he was receiving treatments for leukemia.
