Mrs. Virginia Morris
LOCATION:
Harmon, IL
OCCUPATION: Retired
SPOUSE'S NAME: Ed
POSITION AT TCN: Class room Supervisor
YEARS AT TCN: 1978 - 1981
SINCE
TCN:
We moved to West Chicago where all five of our
children (Vince, Ruth, Alta, John and Matthew) graduated from
Wheaton Christian High School (now Wheaton Academy). I worked as a
secretary at Wheaton College and my husband worked at Tyndale House
Publishers until we retired a few years ago. Now we enjoy living in
the earth-sheltered home we have built in the country very close to
where we used to live when we commuted to Sterling for school "back
in the old days."
MEMORIES OF TCN:
It seemed as if a green pen was permanently
attached to my hand as I walked around initialing completed pages in
student workbooks! Did any of us ever "unlearn" pushing your chair
in when you stood up? The individual goal setting of the ACE
curriculum was a great educational idea, and it worked very well for
some and not so well for others, as is true of all educational
ideas. Each student could have a sense of accomplishment by
fulfilling goals, however. And with Mr. Parsons in charge you had to
have sports. Go Trojans!
