In 1978 the First Church of the Nazarene in Sterling, IL established a private school called Twin City Nazarene.

Its purpose was to provide “Education with a Christian Purpose”.

The school used an individualized instruction approach affiliated with A.C.E (Accelerated Christian Education), based in Dallas, Texas.

When school began that fall, classes were held in the church basement and in the Hatton Center.

Wendy Parsons, Principal, had a staff of four teachers and five aides with an enrollment of 59 that first year.

As this website continues to grow, we will continue to add information
 to the History of Twin City Nazarene.
